Onyx-RAD Professional WorkstationUser ManualAnnotation : Linethe Line tool buttonThis tool creates a straight line on the image.To use this tool, click the Line tool button on the Annotationstoolbar (or choose the tool from the Annotations contextmenu) and:1. (left-)Click on an area of the image to set the line’sfirst endpoint.2. Move the mouse pointer to where the secondendpoint will be (notice that a preview of the line isdrawn while you move the mouse).3. (left-)Click on an area of the image to set the line’ssecond endpoint.The easiest way to quickly remove the annotation is to rightclickthe image (which displays the image context menu)and choosing “Delete All Annotations” from this menu.Page 62
Annotation : Ellipsethe Ellipse tool buttonThis tool creates a (hollow) ellipse on the image. This isoften used to circle an ROI (region of interest).To use this tool, click the Ellipse tool button on theAnnotations toolbar (or choose the tool from the Annotationscontext menu) and:1. (left-)Click on an area of the image to start theellipse.2. Move the mouse pointer and observe the ellipseexpanding. Move the mouse such that the ellipsewill enclose the ROI.3. (left-)Click to set the ellipse in place.Regarding the initial click: it is generally best to click a spotthat is above and left of the ROI, as you will then drag theellipse down and to the right to enclose the ROI.
