Annotation : Textthe Text tool buttonThis tool allows you to place typed text on the image. Manydoctors use this in conjunction with other tools, such as thearrow or ellipse, to explain the ROI or indicate opinions /readings.To use this tool, click the Text tool button on the Annotationstoolbar (or choose the tool from the Annotations contextmenu) and:1. (left-)Click on an area of the image to set the upperleft corner of the textbox.2. Move the mouse downward and to the right to setthe size of the textbox.3. (left-)Click to set the textbox’s size.4. The area you have boxed off now turns white and aflashing cursor appears in the top left part of thetextbox. At this point you should type your text withthe keyboard.5. When you are done typing, press the Enter key onthe keyboard.Notes on the text tool: the initial setup of the tool has youcreate a “textbox”, simply a rectangular area in which yourtext will be placed. The borders of this textbox do notappear once you have typed the text.Note that the text will only appear as wide as the textboxyou set up, thus you are effectively setting the size of the“page” on which the text appears. Be sure to create atextbox large enough to hold all that you wish to say.The easiest way to quickly remove the annotation is to rightclickthe image (which displays the image context menu)and choosing “Delete All Annotations” from this menu.Onyx-RAD is a registered trademark of Viztek, Inc. © 1995-2002 Page 67
