This is up to thebuyer/owner-operator.NOTE: Six important steps to ensure long generator life:• Proper engine and generator installation and alignment.• An efficient well-designed exhaust system that includesan anti~siphon break to prevent water from entering theengine.• Changing the engine oil and oil fdters every ZOO operat.ing hours.• Proper maintenance of all engine and generator componentsaccording to the maintenance schedule in thismanual.• Use clean, filtered unleaded fuel.• Winterize your engine according to the "Lay-up andRecommissioning" section in this mnnual.SPARES AND ACCESSORIESCertain spare parts will be needed to support and maintainyour WESTERBEKE generator or engine when cruising (seeSUGGESTED SPARE PARTS). Often even simple items suchas proper fuel and oil filter can be difficult to obtain alongthe way.
