Also replace gasket Lubricateboth when reassembling.DDrain, flush, and refill cooling system with appropriateantoreeze mix.D D Check solenoid and motor for corrosion. Removeand lubricate. Clean and lubricate the Start motorpinion dlive.D D Check ignition timing. Check condition of distlibutorcap and rotor.D D Incorrect valve clearance will resuft in poor engineperformance; check compression pressure and timing,and adjust valve clearances.DDRemove and replace.NOTE: Failure to replace the timing beft at the recommendedinterval could resuft in timing beft failureresufting in major damage to the engine.Test exhaust elbow for casting integrity.
