Tourism.Bilateral banksThe MDG Achievement Fund (MDG-F) is funded by the Spanish governmentand is implemented through UN agencies such as UNDP, UNICEF andFAO. One of the thematic windows for the funding is environmentand climate change; with special attention to the organization andmanagement of natural resources and the environment in the contextof local rural development and food security. Through this window, theMDG Achievement Fund seeks to support interventions that improveenvironmental management and service delivery at the national and locallevel, increase access to new financing mechanisms and enhance capacityto adapt to climate change. One will providefinancial support for the development of strategic action plans to adaptplant genetic resources for food and agriculture to climate change. Thesecond window will provide financial support for the implementation ofimmediate action projects. The projects could be of any value but wouldnot exceed US$300,000.
