CARICOM IMPLEMENTATION PLAN FOR THE REGIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR ACHIEVING DEVELOPMENT RESILIENT TO CLIMATE CHANGEEngagement and outreach programmeIn 2004, 12 CARICOM countries collaborated to develop a Caribbean Regional Climate Change AdaptationPublic Education and Outreach (PEO) Strategy. The strategy was endorsed by the Council of Trade and EconomicDevelopment (COTED) as a basis for a programme of PEO activities to be implemented under the MainstreamingAdaptation to Climate Change Project (MACC).During the consultation process for the <strong>Implementation</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> the CCCCC invited PANOS, CANARI and CaribSave tomake recommendations for an engagement and outreach programme to support the Regional Framework.The proposed programme draws on a concept note produced by CANARI and on the recommendations in the 2004strategy.
