Company volunteeringIn 2009, Ostrava Zoo became involved in the company volunteering scheme in cooperation with Forumdarcu (a Czech philanthropic organisation). A total of 119 employees of various companies were assisting thezoo namely with cleaning and gardening work throughout the year.To conclude, the authors wish to thank every colleague, who significantly contributed to organising andperforming all events. Also, they wish to thank the group of volunteers, as the most of the events would beimpossible without their gratuitous help.34
