You will design and build aweb page and then go on to build your own websitebased on a subject of personal interest. You will alsolook at content management and research and havean introduction to basic web photography.This course is aimed at students who have an interestin design for the web but are newcomers to the area.You will gain a basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshopand Dreamweaver allowing you to build web pages.You will also be introduced to basic photography forthe web allowing you to create your own images.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONYou will have access to <strong>The</strong> <strong>College</strong>’s virtual learningenvironment (VLE) which can be accessed from anycomputer with internet access (at home, librariesor <strong>College</strong>) to submit written assignments, digitalcoursework and download course materials andhandouts etc.NEXT STEPOn completion of this course you could progress ontoa BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design or the BTECLevel 2 Diploma in Art and Design dependant on yourqualifications.BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Artand DesignBased at: North Road, <strong>Poole</strong>Course Level: Level 2Entry RequirementsEntry Requirements: 3 GCSEs at grade D or above, orsuccessful completion of a BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Artand Design (or a similar art-based qualification), plus aportfolio of recent art work. You willbe invited to attend an interviewTHE CoursEThis course is designed to be both fun and enjoyable.Projects will focus on learning about photography,fashion and graphics.
