Call bells with switches for all beds should be provided <strong>in</strong> all types of wards with<br />
<strong>in</strong>dicator lights and location <strong>in</strong>dicator situated <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> nurses duty room of <strong>the</strong><br />
wards.<br />
Ventilation<br />
The ventilation <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> hospital may be achieved by ei<strong>the</strong>r natural supply or by<br />
mechanical exhaust of air.<br />
Mechanical Eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g<br />
Air-condition<strong>in</strong>g and Room Heat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> operation <strong>the</strong>atre and neo-natal units<br />
should be provided. Air coolers or hot air convectors may be provided for <strong>the</strong><br />
comfort of patients and staff depend<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>the</strong> local needs.<br />
