E-3PROBLEMS(SYMPTOMS)Poor arc striking with sticking or“blast-offs”, weld porosity, narrowand ropy looking bead, or electrodestubbing into the plate while welding.TROUBLESHOOTINGObserve all Safety Guidelines detailed throughout this manualPOSSIBLECAUSE1. Improper procedures or techniques.2. Improper gas shielding.RECOMMENDEDCOURSE OF ACTIONE-3Tip seizes in the diffuser.1. Tip overheating because of prolongedor excessive high currentand/or duty cycle welding.Motor does not turn when trigger ispulled.1. The wire drive motor may be overloaded.“Hxx” will be displayed onthe WFS display, where “xx” is thenumber of seconds until the wiredrive attempts to run again.2. On G3041-2 and newer control P.C.boards, a jumper plug or K1558-1Remote Switch Interface Modulemust be properly installed into connectorJ5.3. Damaged wiring in the trigger circuit.4. Control p.c. board failure.If all recommended possible areasof misadjustment have beenchecked and the problem persists,Contact your local <strong>Lincoln</strong>Authorized Field Service Facility.One side’s drive motor does not turnalthough arc voltage is present andthe gas solenoid is on.1. Damaged leads to the drive motor.2. Damaged wire drive motor.3.
