<strong>Employment</strong> <strong>Policies</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> 113. Misuse of public position: No employee shall corruptly useor attempt to use their official position or any property orresource within their trust, or perform their official dutiesto secure a special privilege, benefit or exemption forthemselves or others. (For reference, see Section 112.313(6),Florida Statutes)4. Disclosure or use of certain information: No employee shalldisclose or use information not available to the generalpublic and gained by reason of their official position for theirpersonal gain or benefit or for the personal gain or benefitof any other person or business entity. (For reference, seeSection 112.313(8), Florida Statutes)5. Conflicting employment or contractual relationship: Noemployee shall have or hold any employment or contractualrelationship with any business entity or any agency whichis subject to the regulation of, or is doing business with the<strong>County</strong>. No employee shall have or hold any employmentor contractual relationship that will create a continuing orfrequently recurring conflict between their private interestsand the performance of their public duties, or that wouldimpede the full and faithful discharge of their public duties.(For reference, see Section 112.313(7), Florida Statutes)B. The following provisions apply to all employees and are morestringent than the requirements of Section 112.313, FloridaStatutes:1. Gifts: No employee may solicit or accept a gift from anyperson or entity (or agent or lobbyist of such person or entity)doing business with or regulated by the <strong>County</strong> or which isgiven based upon any understanding that their official actionwould be influenced.
