(3333(443Divorce may be [revoked] twice, whereupona woman may either be retained in fairnessor released with kindness. It is unlawful foryou to take back from women anything ofwhat you have given them [as dowry],unless they both [husband and wife] fearthat they may not be able to keep withinthe bounds set by God. If you have cause tofear that they would not be able to keepwithin the bounds set by God, it shall beno offence for either of them if she gives upwhatever she may in order to free herself.These are the bounds set by God; do not,then, transgress them. Those who transgressthe bounds set by God are wrongdoersindeed. Such are the bounds set by God.He makes them plain for people who haveknowledge. Do not retain them out ofmalice in order to hurt them.
