MESSAGE<br />
I wish to commend the <strong>DOST</strong> Region VII Office for producing this <strong>Catalogue</strong> containing the<br />
product database <strong>of</strong> <strong>SET</strong>-<strong>UP</strong> beneficiaries in Central Visayas.<br />
The <strong>DOST</strong>’s <strong>SET</strong>-<strong>UP</strong> initiative has been instrumental in spurring the business effectiveness and<br />
efficiency <strong>of</strong> client firms especially in the countryside that have availed <strong>of</strong> its range <strong>of</strong> technical<br />
and advisory services. We believe small and medium-scale industries play a big role in spurring<br />
the creation <strong>of</strong> jobs and wealth-creating activities especially in the regions, and <strong>SET</strong>-<strong>UP</strong> is our<br />
standing commitment, through our Region VII Office, that the SME sector shall remain a force<br />
in national development.<br />
Through the pages <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Catalogue</strong>, the reader will be able to see not only the quality<br />
improvement <strong>of</strong> the products by <strong>SET</strong>-<strong>UP</strong> beneficiaries, but also the quality <strong>of</strong> interventions<br />
