Therefore, no further research is warranted concerning areasof scientific significance.7.6. WILDERNESS AREASNo natural areas were identified at the Project. In addition, based upon available lists of Wilderness Areas,maps, aerial photographs and the site reconnaissance, the Project is not located in, contiguous with, oradjacent to Federally owned lands, or lands legally designated for acquisition by a Federal agency, that aredesignated or proposed for designation as part of the National Wilderness Preservation System.7.7. NATIONAL NATURAL LANDMARKSNo natural areas were identified at the Project. Therefore, no further research is warranted concerningnational natural landmarks at the Project.7.8. UNDEVELOPED SOLE SOURCE AQUIFERSThe Project does not have natural areas. In addition, review of the USEPA list of sole source aquifersindicates that the Project is not located in an area of a proposed or designated sole source aquifer.7.9. ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESOURCES/HISTORIC SITES AND STRUCTURESBased on review of aerial photographs and records reviewed as a part of this assessment (i.e., aerialphotographs), as well as observations during the on site assessment, there are: Buildings fifty years old or olderEMG has contacted the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for Illinois to determine if there arearchaeological resources or historic sites and structures on the Project that are either listed or are eligible forlisting in the National Register of Historic Places. Information from the SHPO pertaining to archaeologicalresources/historic sites and structures is pending.7.10. RECREATIONAL AREASBased on review of aerial photographs and records reviewed as a part of this assessment (i.e., aerialphotographs), as well as observations during the on site assessment, no natural areas are located at theProject. Therefore, no further research is warranted regarding Recreational Areas.7.11.
