Endangered SpeciesBased upon maps, aerial photographs, sitereconnaissance, and other information on the Property,determine if there are any Natural Areas on theProperty one (1) acre or more in size. If so, theEnvironmental Professional shall contact the stateNatural Heritage Program for the state in which theProperty is located (refer to Attachment E: List of theNetwork of Natural Heritage Programs) and provide thestate Natural Heritage Program with information on theProperty so that the Heritage Program can provide theEnvironmental Professional with information for theEnvironmental Professional’s determination on whetherany federally-listed threatened or endangered species,those proposed for listing, or their habitat (hereafterreferred to as “Endangered Species”) may exist at theProperty.The Environmental Professional shall use the followingprocedure in determining the presence of EndangeredSpecies:(a) Contact the state Natural Heritage Program andsubmit information on the Property for its review. Inall cases, information submitted to the state NaturalHeritage Program will include but not be limited to:i. a current U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5Topographic Map (7.5 minute - 1:24,000 scale)with the Property boundaries delineated on themap(s);ii.iii.iv.the Property’s name and address, including city,county, and state;the Township, Range, and Section, if applicable;a general description of the Property’s physicalcharacteristics (including acreage) based uponsite reconnaissance, vegetation coverageobserved, etc.;36
