<strong>AN</strong>-<strong>PR1000H</strong>ENGLISHGeneral InformationPrecautions• General• Use the unit on a firm, level surface free from vibration.• Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, strong magnetic fields, excessive dust,humidity and electronic/electrical equipment (home computers, facsimiles, etc.)which generate electrical noise.• Do not expose the unit to moisture, to temperatures higher than 60˚C (140˚F) orto extremely low temperatures.• If the unit does not work properly, unplug and plug itin again. Then turn on the unit.• In case of an electrical storm, unplug the unit forsafety.• Hold the AC power plug by the head when removingit from the wall socket, as pulling the lead candamage internal wires.• The AC power plug is used as disconnect device andshall always remain readily operable.• Do not remove the outer cover, as this may result in electric shock. Referinternal service to your local SHARP service facility.• The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings withitems, such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on theapparatus.• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.• The apparatus is designed for use in moderate climate.• This unit should only be used within the range of 5˚C - 35˚C (41˚F - 95˚F).lWarning:The voltage used must be the same as that specified by this unit. Using this productwith a higher voltage other than that specified is dangerous and may result in a fire orother types of accident, causing damage. SHARP will not be held responsible for anydamage resulting from the use of this unit with a voltage other than that specified.• Cooling fanThis unit is fitted with a cooling fan at the rear for improved cooling. Do not cover theopening in this section with any obstacles.Caution:• The unit will get warm whilst being used. Do not touch the warm areas of the unitfor prolonged periods to avoid injury.• This unit is equipped with a special function which protects the amplifier circuit fromdamages. When it is activated, the sound switch is turned off. In this case, set theunit to the stand-by mode and turn on again.• Volume controlCooling fanThe sound level at a given volume setting depends on speaker efficiency, location,and various other factors. It is advisable to avoid exposure to high volume levels. Donot turn the volume on to full at switch on and listen to music at moderate levels.E-3
