Troubleshooting chartMany potential problems can be resolved by the owner without calling a service technician.If something is wrong with this product, check the following before calling your authorised SHARP dealer or service centre.AN-PR1000HENGLISH• General• Remote controlSymptomNo sound is heard.The sound from subwoofer isnot well balanced.Possible cause• Is input switching (selection) proper?• Is muting activated?• Is the volume level set to "0"?• Is the speaker connection lead connectedproperly?• Is the subwoofer sound level set to the minimumor maximum level?Noise is heard during playback. • Move the unit away from any computers ormobile phones.When a button is pressed, theunit does not respond.The power is not turned on.The information is notdisplayed even if the unit isturned on.• Set this unit to the power stand-by mode andthen turn it back on. If the unit still malfunctions,reset it.• Is the unit unplugged?• The protection circuit may be activated. Unplugand plug in the power lead again after 5 minutesor more.• Is the display set to "OFF mode"? Change it tothe ON mode.SymptomThe remote control does notoperate properly.The unit cannot be turned onwith the remote control.The TV or DVD player cannotbe operated with the remotecontrol.Possible cause• Is the battery polarity respected?• Are the batteries dead?• Is the distance or angle incorrect?• Are there any obstructions in front of the unit?• Is the remote control sensor exposed to stronglight (inverter fluorescent light, direct sunlight,etc.)?• Is the remote control for another equipmentused simultaneously?• Is the AC power lead of the unit plugged in?• Are the batteries inserted?• Is the manufacturer number correct?
