However, teachersshould consider both the Scaled Score and their knowledge of the student’sreading proficiency when selecting a reading assessment. Moreover, although astudent may be capable of taking STAR Reading, teachers may want to continueusing STAR Early Literacy Enterprise with the student to diagnose strengths andweaknesses in literacy skills and to plan reading instruction.STAR Early LiteracyTechnical Manual124
