IntroductionSTAR Early Literacy Enterprise and the Common Core State Standardsachievement. Thus, STAR Early Literacy Enterprise provides valuable informationregarding the development of early literacy skills.The bulk of the skills assessed in STAR Early Literacy Enterprise are also found inthe CCSS Foundational Skills. In addition, STAR Early Literacy Enterprise assessessome skills in three other areas included in the CCSS broader standards: theReading Standards for Literature K-5, the Reading Standards for InformationalText K-5, and the skills for Vocabulary Acquisition and Use found in the LanguageStandards K-5.
