In 2005, it handled up to 370 million tons of goods and9,3 million of TEUs, out of which about 80% destined for or originatedfrom countries outside the Netherlands. The port operates non-stop 24hours per day, seven days per week. The biggest share atthe rail market is occupied by transportation of containers, ores and coal,all together they make up to 62% of total transport.
