Programs<strong>Academic</strong> MinorsAn academic minor consists of at least 15 credit hours ofcourses. Students may not major and minor in the same discipline.For a second or subsequent minor, at least nine creditsmust be different from the major or the first minor. Thecourses selected to fulfill the minor must be approved by thedepartment or faculty group that offers the minor program.Students with a minor must complete six credits of upper-levelcourses outside the major discipline. These six credits couldbe taken as part of the minor.To earn a minor students must achieve at least a 2.00 gradepoint average in their minor. One exception is the Pre-Lawminor, which requires a 3.00 grade point average.
