3-14 NAVTEXNAVTEX is an international automated direct printing servicefor delivery of navigational and meteorological warnings andforecast, as well as urgent marine safety information.NAVTEX functions require an optional NAVTEX receiver withNMEA0183 output to be installed and connected tothe chartplotter.To go to the NAVTEXwindow, press PAGE andselect the NAVTEX icon.Reloading NAVTEX messages:NAVTEX messages need to be loaded from a NAVTEX receivermanually. Four typesof displays are provided; Normal, NOAA, Sunlight and Night.4-2-3 General (C-MAP)Plotter mode: This mode allows you to zoom in and out atscales where cartographic data is not available (over zoom).Mixing levels: When the map coverage of the current chartscale does not fill the entire display, the GPS chartplotter drawsthe rest of map using charts from above and below the currentscale.
