Depending on the camera mode, the transition from “Ô to“V” may occur more quickly.●! Due to the nature of the battery, the battery level indicator(Ä, à or V) may appear early when the camera isused in cold locations. This is normal. Try warming thebattery in your pocket or a similar location before use.1Getting Ready◆ How to replace the xD-Picture Card ◆Push the xD-Picture Card into the slot and thenslowly remove your finger. The lock is released andthe xD-Picture Card is pushed out.“V” appears as a large icon in the center of theLCD monitor.◆ Auto power off function ◆When the Auto power off function is active, if the camera is left unused for 2 or 5 minutes, this functionturns the camera off (➡P.81).To restore power to the camera to take pictures, briefly close the lens cover completely and then reopenit. To play back images, close the lens cover and hold down the “w” button for about 1 second.1213
