(J)Hairpieces <strong>and</strong> Wigs.(1) Beards <strong>and</strong> hairpieces furnished by the Producer shall be freshlycleaned when delivered to the Actor <strong>and</strong> cleaned thereafter whenevernecessary, but at least once every three weeks. Lace on all beards,mustaches <strong>and</strong> hairpieces will be cleaned daily.(2) No Actor shall be required to use a wig or hairpiece, including afacial hairpiece (beard or mustache) that has been worn by another Actoruntil the hairpiece or wig has been cleaned <strong>and</strong> fitted. After cleaning,hairpieces must be dried <strong>and</strong> aired prior to issue to the Actor.(3) Should the Actor <strong>and</strong> Producer agree in writing to use the Actor'spersonal wig or hairpiece, a rental fee shall be agreed upon by theProducer <strong>and</strong> the Actor, to be paid weekly to the Actor. The Producer shallbe responsible for cleaning <strong>and</strong> upkeep of the wig or hairpiece during theengagement15. COMPANY MANAGER.When the Producer employs a Company Manager the following conditions shall apply.The Company Manager shall be accessible at pre-tour rehearsals. When the companytours as a <strong>Unit</strong> Tour or Package Tour, the Company Manager shall travel with thecompany, shall be at the hotel used by the majority of the company at check-in <strong>and</strong>check-out, <strong>and</strong> shall be accessible to the acting company at all reasonable times whilethe company is on tour.16. CONTINUOUS EMPLOYMENT.Continuous employment of the Actor is of the essence of all employment contracts.Employment thereunder shall begin on the date of the beginning of rehearsals orrequired date of arrival, if earlier, <strong>and</strong> shall continue until terminated as provided herein,<strong>and</strong> not otherwise.17. CONTRACT.(A) Changes <strong>and</strong> alterations. The Actor has no right or power to waive any ofthe minimum conditions set forth in the employment contract or other Ruleswithout the written consent of Equity. Unless any <strong>and</strong> all riders, changes,alterations, waivers or substitutions from or under these Rules made prior to,when or after the contract of employment is made shall have been consented toby Equity in writing, such riders, changes, alterations, waivers or substitutions, orany part thereof, are void at the option of the Actor, Equity consenting. It shall bethe duty of the Producer, not the Actor, to submit proposed changes to Equity forits written approval by a duly authorized representative. A copy of any letter fromEquity to the Producer granting such a concession shall be made a part of theActor's contract <strong>and</strong> given to the Actor at the time of signing of the contract orwhen the concession is granted, whichever comes later. At the option of Equity,no such riders, changes, alterations, waivers or substitutions shall be admitted in22
