(E) Representatives. Duly authorized representatives of Equity shall have freeaccess to the stage <strong>and</strong> to all <strong>Actors</strong> at all times, inclusive of rehearsals <strong>and</strong>performances. Equity may represent <strong>Actors</strong> in any dispute that may arise with theProducer.(F) Oral <strong>and</strong> Written Interpretations. Oral or telephone rulings made by Equityare not binding upon the Association, or, except with its consent, upon itsmembers. Written rulings or interpretations of the employment contract or this<strong>Agreement</strong> must be either approved by or given by the President or ExecutiveDirector or one of the executives specifically authorized by either of said officersto act, <strong>and</strong> shall be binding upon the Association only when said persons actwithin the powers delegated to them by Equity. Oral rulings shall be confirmed inwriting.30. EXCLUSIVE SERVICE OF THE ACTOR.Except as otherwise provided for in the contract of employment, the Actor shall notaccept any other engagement in the legitimate <strong>and</strong>/or musical comedy fields from thedate of beginning of rehearsal <strong>and</strong> until said contract is lawfully terminated, without thewritten consent of the Producer. The Actor shall, however, have a right to accept otheremployment not conflicting with the fulfillment of his duties under said contract.After a contract has been signed with an Actor, he may not subsequently enter intoanother contract which would cause him to arrive late for rehearsal, without firstobtaining the written consent of the Producer. If the Actor fails to obtain such priorwritten consent, the Producer shall have the option of canceling such Actor’s contractwithout any obligation to him.If the Actor is a star or featured player in the production covered by said contract, hemay enter into a written agreement to be annexed to said contract, agreeing not toaccept any other employment <strong>and</strong> to render his services exclusively to the Producer<strong>and</strong> not to render his services to any other person or corporation without the writtenconsent of the Producer.31. HOSPITALIZATION AND MEDICAL COVERAGE.(A) The Producer agrees to transmit to the Equity-League Health Trust Fundper Actor per week the sum of $163.00 from October 31, 20<strong>05</strong> through October29, 2006. The rate from October 30, 2006 through October 28, 2007, October 29,2007 through October 26, 2008, October 27, 2008 through October 25, 2009,October 26, 2009 through October 31, 20<strong>10</strong> shall be the rate as established bythe actuarial firm authorized by the Fund’s Trustees, but in no case more than a<strong>10</strong>% increase in each year. This amount does not include payment forSupplemental Workers’ Compensation as outlined in Rule 34 (INJURY ANDSUPPLEMENTAL WORKERS’ COMPENSATION PLAN).(B) These monies are not refundable <strong>and</strong> shall be used to provide healthbenefits for the Actor.36
