Connect the other end of the <strong>PT</strong>O shaft to thetractor’s <strong>PT</strong>O drive. Secure the <strong>PT</strong>O guardretraining chain to a suitable location on thetractor.NOTE: On initial installation the <strong>PT</strong>O shaftlength may need adjusting to suit this particularapplication; refer to <strong>PT</strong>O driveshaft installationpage for details of this procedure.With the <strong>PT</strong>O shaft correctly connected, raisethe machine to a safe transport position. Ensurea clearance of at least 100mm between theunderside of the shaft and the body of themachine whilst in the transport position. Lockthe ‘lift arm stop’ in this position.Check that there is no lateral movement on themachine when it is in the raised position; adjustthe stabiliser chains/bars if required.CAUTION: Raising the tractor lift arms too high may cause damage to the <strong>PT</strong>O shaft if thetractor was to drive over any bumps and the machine was to bounce on the lift arms.WARNING: Read all the safety instructions carefully before driving on the public road andalways comply with the local law concerning lights, warning and safety signs. The driverand/or the owner of the machine have the responsibility of complying with the local RoadTraffic Acts.Always ensure tractor manoeuvrability is not adversely affected by any attached machinery; the steeringaxle of the tractor should be loaded with at least 20% of the tractor’s dead weight.Carrying of passengers on the machine is strictly prohibited.21
