Enoch "walked with <strong>God</strong>." <strong>The</strong>n <strong>God</strong> called Noah.He was perfect in bis physical descent or generations, and alsowalked with <strong>God</strong>. <strong>God</strong> called him in order to save humans aliveduring the Flood.<strong>God</strong> called Abraham to forsake the life <strong>of</strong> Babylon - tocome out, as it were, from Satan's civilization- and turn to <strong>God</strong>'sway. Abraham had not sought <strong>God</strong> - yet he was a rare exception,in that he obeyed without question or excuse.Four hundred and thirty years after Abraham, <strong>God</strong> calledMoses. So then <strong>God</strong> toldMoses He had appointed bis brother Aaron to be bis spokesman.<strong>God</strong> said to M oses, in effect, "Yo u W/ LL do what 1 commandyou!" And thereupon, he did.<strong>God</strong> had called Moses to lead the descendants <strong>of</strong> Abraham -by then numbering sorne two or three million - out <strong>of</strong> Egyptianslavery. To these "children <strong>of</strong> Israel" at Mount Sinai <strong>God</strong> made aproposition: lf they would become Hrs NATION, governed by Hislaws and statutes, He would make them the head-most nation onearth - with the tremendous national and temporal blessings (thislife only) <strong>of</strong> becoming the most prosperous, most powerful, mostpeaceful nation on earth. <strong>The</strong> people agreed.<strong>The</strong>reupon <strong>God</strong> entered into a COVENANT with them- latercalled "the Old Covenant," mediated by Moses. It was a marriageagreement, by which Israel agreed to obey her Husband (<strong>God</strong>),and <strong>God</strong> agreed to make them, on obedience, earth's number onenation.
