THE INCREDIBLE HUMAN POTENTIAL 139puts within US HIS DIVINE NATURE (11 Peter 1 :4)- when we repentand turn from the WRONG ways <strong>of</strong> THIS WORLD, begin to resist it,and turn TO Him through faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior!<strong>God</strong>'s di vine nature is the nature <strong>of</strong> love - <strong>of</strong> giving, serving,helping- <strong>of</strong> outgoing concern. lt is also the nature <strong>of</strong> humility.Now when one is con verted - has repented, and turned fromthis world's false WAYS- has at once received <strong>God</strong>'s Holy Spirithishumanity- his HUMAN nature does not ftee. It was (probablysubconsciously) injected within us by Satan, the prince <strong>of</strong> thepower <strong>of</strong> the air. He sti/1 exerts a pull. W e stilllive in THIS PRESENTEVIL WORLD, and it exerts a pull. <strong>God</strong> still allows Satan to bearound. And Satan is still around!So we now have THREE PULLS to RESIST- to OVERCOME! Wemust now overcome these three: Satan, this world, and our ownSELVES. We have to battle against these three, in order to developand strengthen RIGHT CHARACTER within us. <strong>God</strong> says plainly it isTHE OVERCOMERS who shall be saved - who shall REIGN withChrist! (Rev. 2:26-27; 3:21; 21 :7.)<strong>God</strong>'s HelpNo human being is strong enough todo this BY HIMSELF! He mustseek, and IN FAITH receive, the help and power <strong>of</strong>Goo. Even with<strong>God</strong>'s power he will not overcome such forces easily or all atonce. IT IS NOT EASY! Christ plainly said the way to ultima te salvationis hard, difficult (Matt. 7:13, 14). lt's a constant BATTLE - astruggle against self, the world, and the devil. <strong>The</strong> creation <strong>of</strong>CHARACTER comes through EXPERIENCE. lt takes TIME!This development is a PROCESS. lt is a matter <strong>of</strong> GROWTH -DEVELOPMENT. lt requires, to become PERFECT, full and rightKNOWLEDGE <strong>of</strong> the very Word <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>; because Jesus taught thatwe must /ive by EVERY WORD OF ÜOD (Matt. 4:4; Luke 4:4).<strong>The</strong> natural, unconverted mind cannot fully and rightly UNDERSTAND the Scriptures <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>. But the Holy Spirit opens themind to this spiritual comprehension. <strong>The</strong> acquisition <strong>of</strong> thisKNOWLEDGE, in itself, is a procedure requiring TIME. It is theDOERS <strong>of</strong> this Word, not hearers only, who shall be saved (Romans2: 13).But can any man GO, immediately and all at once, this new
