54 THE INCREDIBLE HUMAN POTENTIALneed to know sorne things about the <strong>God</strong> who is sending you andproviding the way.lt is vital at this point, then, to know this - as revealed in theBible: <strong>The</strong> Eternal <strong>God</strong> not only is Creator <strong>of</strong> all that is, but is theRULER over all He creates and also EDUCATOR- that is, the revealer<strong>of</strong> basic knowledge. He reveals knowledge basic and vital toknow - knowledge otherwise inaccessible to rnan. Yet mankind -generally - has rejected revelation as a source <strong>of</strong> basic knowledge.What <strong>God</strong> creates He maintains. What He creates He createsfor a PURPOSE. He intends it to be put to use- a right use that preservesand improves. This use, rnaintenance and improvement iscontrolled in the process <strong>of</strong> united, cooperative action, by theGOVERNMENT OF ÜOD.This earth, originally, was in tended to be the a bode <strong>of</strong> a third<strong>of</strong> all the angels. <strong>The</strong> angels, beholding the earth at its creation,found it so beautiful and perfect they shouted spontaneously forJOY! (Job 38:4-7). lt was to provide a glorious opportunity forthern. <strong>The</strong>y were to work it, produce frorn it, and preserve and increaseits beauty.And at this point, it is well to understand the nature <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>'soriginal creation: lt is like the unfinished furniture available in sornestores. This furniture is "in the raw" - it is finished all but for thefinal varnish, polish, or paint. Sorne can save money by doing thisfinishing thernselves - provided they have the skill to do so. Thisfurniture rnay be <strong>of</strong> fine and superb quality - yet lacking the finalbeautifying completion.So it is with <strong>God</strong>'s creation. lt is perfect, but subject to abeautifying finish which <strong>God</strong> intended angels to accornplish. <strong>The</strong>original "unfinished" creation was produced by <strong>God</strong> alone. ButHe intended angels, prehistorically, and MAN, now, to utilize creativepower - to finish this part in <strong>God</strong>'s creation - <strong>of</strong> adding thefinal beautifying and utilitarian phases <strong>of</strong> what shall be the FINALCOMPLETED CREATION!And whether or not it had been revealed to the angels, it wasa suprerne TRIAL AND TEST. lt was to be the PROVING GROUND <strong>of</strong>obedience to Goo's GOVERNMENT and their fitness to develop int<strong>of</strong>inal finished creation the millions <strong>of</strong> other planets in the vast uni-
