Howmany know, today, that Jesus' gospel was a sensational, never-before-proclaimedNEWS ANNOUNCEMENT?Jesus Was a NewscasterThose in Judea knew- or should have known- Malachi's prophecyconcerning this. lt was the gospel <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong> - and the word"gospel" means Gooo NEWS!Jesus was a NEWSCASTER. His news was something absolutelyNEW - never before proclaimed to mankind. lt was the most wonderfulNEWS ever reported, actually almost too wonderful forhumans to believe. lt was news <strong>of</strong> the utterly transcendent potential<strong>of</strong>man.<strong>The</strong> tremendous message that Jesus brought was nota report<strong>of</strong> past events. lt was ADVANCE news <strong>of</strong> an almost unbelievableUTOPIAN WORLD TOMORROW! lt was news <strong>of</strong> life after death. Andit was news that we may be BORN AGAIN! Yet almost nobody understandsit!Why has it never been recognized by the world as the stupendousNEWS that it actually was?Beca use first-century enemies <strong>of</strong> the gospel SUPPRESSED IT!<strong>The</strong> <strong>Church</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong>, on the foundation <strong>of</strong> the original apostlesand Christ, was founded on the Day <strong>of</strong> Pentecost, A.D. 31.About two decades later, when the apostle Paul wrote bis letter tothe churches <strong>of</strong> Gala tia, it had airead y been suppressed, and falseministers had turned the people to a DIFFERENT GOSPEL. Paulwrote, "1 marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that calledyou into the grace <strong>of</strong> Christ unto another gospel: which is not another;but there be sorne that trouble you, and would pervert thegospel<strong>of</strong>Christ"(Gal. 1:6-7). Again, in Romans 1:18: "For thewrath <strong>of</strong> <strong>God</strong> is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness andwickedness <strong>of</strong> m en who by their wickedness suppress the truth"(RSV). And in 11 Corinthians ll Paul speaks <strong>of</strong> false apostles <strong>of</strong>
