Fifty-four percent of the funds were distributed to the NewYork City area, where 50% of motor vehicle theft was happening and 73% of theinsurance fraud was occurring. Twenty-eight percent of the funds were distributed inWestchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties, where 20% of theft and fraud was occurring.Five percent of the funds were distributed in the cities of Albany and Schenectady andOnondaga County.
