138 MINUTES OF THE SYNOD OF THEThe Moderator was given a rising vote of thanks by the membersof Synod for a job well done under difficult circumstances at times.The minutes were read and approved.Synod took recess at 5:10 p.m. for supper to re-convene at 6:00p.m. The Moderator led in prayer of recess.THURSDAY, JUNE 22, 1995, 6:00 P.M.Synod reconvened at 6:00 p.m. for the concluding worshipservice. Jim Wright led in the singing of Psalm 36B and Ray Mortonled in prayer.The roll was set out on a table for delegates to mark followingadjournment.Wayne Spear was in charge of the closing devotional service.Synod sang Psalm 118C. Mr. Spear led in prayer, read John 12:20-26 and preached God's Word on the theme, "The Call to HisServants." The devotional service was concluded with the singing ofPsalm 126A.Following announcements, Synod sang Psalm I33A andadjourned at 7:00 p.m. The Moderator led in the prayer ofadjournment and declared Synod to be adjourned to meet July 12-18, 1997, at William Jewell College, Liberty Missouri, at 7:30 p.m.
