It initiated theconstruction of artificial tuber plantations in China.Truffle is a kind of ectomycorrhizal livingthingswith specific trees and it is unfeasible to carry outtraditional artificial breeding. We have to artificiallyinoculate and infect aseptic seedlings and thentransplant the infected seedlings for forestation.After specialized and refined maintenance andmanagement for 6-8 years, truffle grows in thisforest. The truffle yield will be increasing overtime and the yield period reaches 40-50 years.The establishment of tuber plantations effectivelypromotes greening of barren mountains and slopes,drives the economic development of poverty-strickenareas, and provides a scientific mode of sustainableutilization of forestry products except wood. As thesustainable development and industralization oftruffle is realized, it will bring about the emergenceof the green economy industry of other wild ediblemushrooms, which further advances the long-termdevelopment of the overall forestry industralization,leads to the adjustment of the rural farming structureand industrial structure, transfers surplus labors invillages and creates sustainable development of therural economy and society, provides a large numberof employment opportunities, develops locallycharacteristic economy and increases local financialrevenues.The two tuber sporocarps discovered from the demonstrative & experimental truffle base—— HIGHLIGHTS OF ACHIEVEMENTS ——
