Co. 2552.WHEREAS by the provisions of " The Health Act,1911-19," His Excellency the Governor may make Regulations,and may repeal, alter or amend 'Regula lions somade : Now, therei ore, His Excellency the Governor,by and with the advice and consent of the ExecutiveCouncil, and on the advice of the Food ;Standards AdvisoryCommittee, cloth hereby amend the Food andDrug Regulations, 1924, published in the GovernmentGazette on the 11th day of July, 1924, by the additionof the following Regulation, to stand as Regulation28 (a) :-Pasteurised Milk.1. Pasteurised milk means milk which has beenheated to a temperature of not less than 145deg. and notmore than 15Uueg. E., and held at such temperature fornot less than thirty minutes, and immediately thereaftercooled to a temperature below 50deg. F.2. Pasteurised milk shall not contain more than50,000 bacilli per cubic centimetre, nor any coliformbacillus in one-tenth of a cubic centimetre.3. No milk shall be subjected to the process of pasteurisationmore than once, and shall not be otherwisetreated by heat.Lab,elling.4. Every vessel containing pasteurised milk shallbear a label with the words " Pasteurised Milk " printedthereon in bold-faced sans-serif capital letters of notless than twelve points face measurement.Approved by His Excellency the Governor in ExecutiveCouncil on the 21st day of September, 1927.L.
