Year 3 making music andmemoriesThe Year 3 Band Program was developed to give students theopportunity to learn an instrument while being introduced tothe wonderful world of ensemble performance.In the capable hands of acting KWS Prep School MusicCoordinator Katie Sinclair (pictured left), Term 1 saw the Year 3students attend group lessons, with those choosing to continuetuition in Term 2 also taking part in full band rehearsals.This year the retention rate for students continuing tuition inTerm 2 was the highest so far, with 16 out of the original 26students furthering their music studies.At the end of Term 2 the new musicians held an entertaining– and informative – concert for their fellow students, teachersand very proud parents.25
