Size reducti<strong>on</strong> / compacti<strong>on</strong> etc. is used to ensure that inaccessible voidage within <strong>the</strong> disposalc<strong>on</strong>tainer is minimised as far as practicable. Additi<strong>on</strong>al <strong>LLW</strong> may be added to <strong>the</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tainers to ensure bestuse <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> disposal volume.
