KEYPAD AND DISPLAY DESCRIPTIONSSYNC. CHANL. - This is the signal input which is used for synchronization. Itis normally assigned to the input with the strongest signal.AUTO REJ. - Enables or disables the automatic rejection of IP cyclescontaminated by occasional noise spikes that occur during the measurementperiod.FULL SAT. DET. - Allows you to fully or partially observe saturation conditionsin the internal signal path. With “Not Full”, observation is available only duringthe measurement period for example, while measuring all the slices. With “Full”observation, the times of signal transition are included, for example, between theend of the Vp period and the start of the first M-slice. “Full” is normally used,however, with large EM transients at the signal transitions, it may be required touse partial saturation detection (Not Full).Mx - This indicates the beginning and the end of the user defined ChargeabilitySlice. This slice can be placed anywhere within the realm of the normalchargeability slices for the selected timing. The minimum width is 10ms, the stepsize is also 10ms. For one second timing (See Appendix E), the boundaries areon ..5ms and on ..10ms for other timings. For example, 1 sec. timing - 465, 4sec. timing - 460↑↑must end in must end inOMIT # (OF) SLICES - Defines the number of slices to be omitted for the Cole-Cole calculation, in excess of the ones which are automatically omitted at shorttimings. You are able to omit only 3 slices. The instrument maintains aminimum of 5 slices, regardless of the number of slices that the operator omits.TIMING - This is the setting of the receiver time of either 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32seconds. Transmitter and Receiver timing must be identical.UNIT - Enables you to enter metre or feet for the electrode locations. Theapparent resistivity always appears in ohm metre.VARIABLE SLICES - Enables or disables the use of variable slices.SLICE WIDTHS - This leads to another menu in which the slice widths can bedefined.3-8
