SETTING UP THE IPR-12SET-UP PROCEDURESThe section, Setting-Up The IPR-12, enables you to program theIPR-12 to do specific tasks. If you follow these instructions, the stepsresult in a setup to perform a self test using the internal test generatoras a signal source for a 6 dipole, Pole-Dipole array. This proceduredoesnot require (or allow) any external connections so that you canperform the test in the office.No te: You cannot access the setup parameters during a measurement.First Time Operation When you are operating the instrument for the first time, the unitrequires a 'Cold Boot' (complete microprocessor initialization). To dothis procedure, follow these steps:1. The unit must be turned off. While pressing and holding the Clearkey, press the On/Off key. Two beeps emit from the IPR-12 and thecold boot display is presented.Cold Boot (N, Y, 1) ?Warning!N: No Cold BootY: Setup param. & data will be erased1: Setup param. ONLY will be erased2. Press Y to erase the parameters and the data. The Locations displaywill appear. All internal parameters have now been initialized and theinstrument is ready to be set-up.4-1
