85: Modulation - (12X MV System only)Note: This function is only available on the 12X MVversion and only when the TSM-72A 72MHz module isplugged in.Important: When the 72MHz module is plugged in andthe system is turned on, the antenna must be attached.Operating the 72MHz module without the antenna attachedcould overload the internal transistor causing a failure.Warning: Only the JR TSM-72A and JRM2.4 modulesare compatible with the 12X MV. Do not install a standardtypeJR, Spektrum or other branded module in the 12X asdamage will occur.The 12X MV version radio system allows the RF module to bereplaced allowing the system to operate on 72MHz or 2.4GHz.Note that the transmitter automatically detects which module isinstalled and modifies the accessible programming appropriateto the module selected.The Modulation screen (code 85) allows the selection ofmodulation for 72MHz receiver types. Modulation typesavailable are:Note: APCM - JR’s newest version PCM (not available inthe U.S.)• SPCM - Most currently available JR PCM receivers use thistype of modulation• ZPCM - Compatible with older JR receivers• PPM - FM modulationNote: It’s important to select the modulation to matchthe receiver type. JR receivers have the modulation typeprinted on the receiver.To Program a Modulation Type1. In the SYSTEM MODE, highlight and select TypeMODULAT. using the Selector.2. Highlight and select the currently selected modulation type(APCM) using the Selector and press the selector to accessall available modulation types (APCM, SPCM, ZPCM,PPM).3. Rotate the roller to highlight the desired modulation typethen press the roller to select the modulation type.4.
