6.1 Phase I Projects
A. Wetlands Study and Restoration Plan
Project Description: Conduct appropriate wetlands studies, including a
hydrologic study, topographic survey, and botanical survey. Based on the
results of these studies, develop a Wetlands Restoration Plan that will detail
restoration goals and objectives, recommended projects, and an
implementation plan with alternative strategies to preserve and restore the
native ecosystem of the Honuÿapo Estuary. The Wetlands Restoration Plan
should take into account the kuleana parcels around the estuary, which are
excluded from the park property, and thus should not be included in key
habitat restoration areas.
