Learning LabProviding Academic Services to Customize Your Personal Education PlanThe following programs provide credit opportunities for students who would benefit from an alternative method of learning or requireadditional academic support. Consult with a teacher, counselor, or Learning Lab staff member to discuss if these programs areappropriate to the development of your Personal Education Plan. Counselor approval is required to schedule classes.ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONcredit varies Prerequisite: counselor approval or Learning Lab teacher approvalAlternative Education courses provide students with a small class setting and self-paced, individualized courses in a variety ofacademic and elective areas. Courses are developed in an effort to expand the learning opportunities for all students. In an effort tosupport the diverse needs of all learners, the curriculum is flexible and responsive. Students are expected to set and assess personalachievement goals. Placement is determined by reading, writing, and math assessments.COMMUNITY 101.5 credit Prerequisite: none CVHS credit: elective OUS credit: noneThis class is designed to get you involved in our community and give you an opportunity to help out those in need. As a team, we willexplore non-profit services offered in and around Corvallis.
