Repertoire will be selected from a wide array of style periods and genres. Students will learn proper vocal techniqueincluding intonation, tone quality, and stylistic accuracy. Students will learn to read and notate music independently and learn how tobe a leader in a musical environment. Students will demonstrate independent problem-solving skills through conducting, score study,and sight-reading while making connections between world cultures and music. Students will learn to understand and appreciate therelationships between music, the other arts, and other fields of study.
