Hong Kong International Airport
JEC recently upgraded the state-of-the-art baggage handling
system capacity enhancement at Hong Kong International Airport.
The project involved multiple systems: 1) installing a new Direct
Feed System; 2) installing a new Transfer Screening Feed System;
3) upgrading the Sortation System; and 4) building an extra level of
the baggage conveyor system.
All baggage from the airport and in-town check-in counters is now
delivered and sorted by this Direct Feed System. Along with the
Transfer Screening Feed System, all baggage from transfer flights
is now processed by JEC-installed conveyors.
The Link
In a design-and-build project for the Link, a major Hong
Kong building operator, JEC completed a series of services
upgrades at six separate large retail locations. This included
upgrading seven air-cooled chillers to water-cooled systems,
with associated upgrades to the water and electrical systems.
All work had to be carried out during the winter non-peak period
of air-conditioning usage. Hence JEC liaised closely with the
client to plan the process well in
advance. Site conditions meant
that work carried could not
exceed Government-mandated
noise levels, as the shopping
complexes were all located
near residential areas, adding a
further constraint that JEC was
able to handle.
Marina Square Complex
The Marina Square retail mega mall in Singapore covers 65,000
square metres, making it one the island state’s largest.
Thermal Private Limited, a JEC division, upgraded the ACMV (air
conditioning) systems to use chilled water Air Handling Units (AHUs)
and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) together with duct work, pipe work,
sensor equipment, a Direct Digital Controller (DDC) control system
and related electrical works. Thermal modified the existing BMS
software, database and memory.
Thermal also supplied and installed a new smoke control system,
including smoke exhaust fans, automatic smoke curtains,
master smoke control
panel and interfacing
works with fire alarm
systems, AHUs
and doors.

香 港 國 際 機 場
怡 和 機 器 最 近 為 香 港 國 際 機 場 的 行 李 處 理
系 統 升 級 。
技 術 提 升 項 目 包 括 以 下 四 個 系 統 :1) 安 裝
全 新 直 接 傳 輸 系 統 ;2) 安 裝 全 新 轉 機 篩 檢 傳
輸 系 統 ;3) 提 升 行 李 分 類 系 統 和 4) 建 立 更 多
層 的 行 李 處 理 系 統 。
所 有 在 機 場 和 市 區 辦 理 登 機 的 行 李 現 時 直 接
由 直 接 傳 輸 系 統 運 送 及 分 類 。 聯 同 轉 機 篩 檢
傳 輸 系 統 , 現 時 所 有 轉 機 的 行 李 均 由 怡 和 機
器 的 輸 送 系 統 處 理 。
領 匯
怡 和 機 器 為 香 港 主 要 物 業 管 理 公 司 領 匯 進 行
設 計 和 建 設 項 目 , 為 領 匯 六 個 大 型 商 場 進 行
一 連 串 升 級 。 升 級 項 目 包 括 將 七 個 氣 冷 式 製
冷 機 提 升 至 水 冷 式 系 統 , 及 更 新 相 關 的 供 水
和 電 力 系 統 。 所 有 項 目 均 需 在 非 空 調 使 用 高
峰 期 — 冬 季 進 行 。 因 此 , 怡 和 機 器 與 領 匯
事 前 緊 密 相 討 , 確 保 項 目 順 利 推 行 。 因 為 所
有 商 場 均 鄰 近 大 型 屋 苑 , 所 以 工 程 進 行 時 所 製
造 的 噪 音 不 得 超 過 政 府 所 設 定 的 界 限 , 這 雖 是
一 項 難 題 , 但 怡 和 機 器 亦 能 迎 刃 而 解 。
濱 海 廣 場
濱 海 廣 場 是 新 加 坡 的 大 型 零 售 商 場 , 佔 地 六 萬
五 千 平 方 米 , 是 新 加 坡 最 大 的 商 場 之 一 。
怡 和 機 器 附 屬 公 司 Thermal Private Limited 為 商
場 透 過 使 用 水 冷 式 的 空 調 機 組 和 風 機 盤 管 來
提 升 ACMV( 空 調 ) 系 統 。 此 外 , 工 程 包 括 管
道 、 感 應 設 備 、 直 接 數 據 控 制 系 統 和 其 他 相 關
電 子 工 程 。Thermal 亦 修 改 了 現 時 的 樓 宇 管 理
系 統 軟 件 、 數 據 庫 和 記 憶 體 。
Thermal 也 為 商 場 提 供 和 安 裝 全 新 的 煙 霧 控 制
系 統 , 包 括 排 煙 風 機 、 自 動 煙 霧 窗 簾 、 主 煙 霧
控 制 板 和 消 防 報 警 系 統 、 空 氣 處 理 機 組 和 每 棟
門 的 界 面 工 作 。
