3 eggs<br />

1 1/2 C white sugar<br />

1 1/2 C flour<br />

Beat 20 minutes<br />

1 1/2 t baking powder<br />

1/2 C water or pineapple juice<br />

Pour cake batter over pineapple and sugar in spider and bake in oven<br />

until well done. Turn over on large platter, bottom side up. Serve<br />

with whipped cream or plain. --Mrs. Ed. Quinten.<br />

APPLE AND GRAPENUT CARAMEL PUDDING<br />

6 apples<br />

1 C brown sugar<br />

1/2 C butter<br />

1 T flour<br />

1 C grapenuts<br />

Peel and slice apples, place in baking dish. Cream together brown<br />

sugar and butter. Add flour and grapenuts and spread the mixture<br />

over the apples. Bake slowly and serve when slightly warm with<br />

whipped cream. --Mrs. H. A. Taylor.<br />

CUP CUSTARD<br />

6 eggs<br />

6 T sugar<br />

Nutmeg<br />

1/2 t salt<br />

1 qt. milk<br />

Beat eggs, then add other ingredients. Sprinkle grated nutmeg over<br />

top. Pour into 6 custard cups and set them in a pan of water in oven<br />

to bake. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes. --Mrs. Ruby Treptow.<br />
