ORANGE MINT COCKTAIL (COMPOTE)<br />

3 juicy oranges<br />

1 T finely chopped mint<br />

3 T sugar<br />

6 maraschino cherries<br />

2 T cherry juice<br />

Divide oranges into sections and cut in pieces. Add sugar and cherry<br />

juice and set aside to chill for one hour. Chop mint finely, mix<br />

with oranges, pile high in small glasses and place a cherry on top<br />

of each.<br />

ORANGE EGGNOG<br />

<strong>For</strong> each glass wanted beat the whites of 2 eggs stiff with 2 T sugar<br />

and the yolk of 1 egg with 2 T sugar. Mix lightly add grated rind of<br />

1 orange and the juice of 3 oranges. Serve very cold.--Mrs. Paul<br />

PEACH COCKTAIL (COMPOTE)<br />

Peel and stone peaches, cut very fine or run through coarse<br />

vegetable grinder; sweeten to taste. To 12 large peaches add the<br />

juice of 3 lemons, 1 orange and 1 qt; water. Serve very cold in tall<br />

glasses.-- Mrs. Paul Ray<br />

REFRESHING DRINK<br />

<strong>For</strong> a refreshing drink mix equal parts of lemonade, ginger ale, and<br />

grape juice.<br />

Vary to suit taste;--if liked, the juice of canned fruits may be<br />

added --also a teaspoon of chopped fruit, and if obtainable, a sprig<br />
