Question from the editor:
Beyer-Mietservice KG carried out tests before
making the purchase decision for the RUTHMANN
truck working platforms. What did these tests
entail in detail and under what criteria was the
decision for RUTHMANN made?
Bernd Wiesmann:
The comprehensive and professional sequence of
the tests impressed me. Alongside RUTHMANN, a
further, well-known competitor of truck working
platforms took part in the test. The comprehensive
field tests were carried out in great depth by
skilled personnel from Beyer-Mietservice KG. The
performance data as well as the driver features of
the truck working platforms were directly
compared with each other.
The jurors then made their decision for our
product that made us proud and happy.
Question from the editor:
What trends do you see in future for the truck
working platform segment?
Bernd Wiesmann:
The truck working platforms at 3.5 t are increasing
in importance as the technical development, the
new materials and the innovative production ways
have led to the fact that truck working platforms
at 3.5 t are now in the position to offer almost the
same efficiency and output than those at 7.5 t.
The former driving licence category class 3 for
7.5 t will be a firm favourite in the truck industry
for 10 to 15 years, but at the end of the day the
truck driving licence will assert itself for many
truck working platform classes. A further trend
that we see as manufacturer of truck working
platforms is the increasing demand for large
machines with a working height from 38 m
upwards. We have a complete range of

that are very popular both in Germany as
well internationally. •
