any new cases, trends and developments in <strong>Product</strong><br />
<strong>Liability</strong> Law in Slovakia.<br />
<strong>Product</strong> liability litigation is rare. Till now, no finished cases<br />
brought under the national legislation implementing the <strong>Product</strong><br />
<strong>Liability</strong> Directive in the Slovak Republic have been reported. The<br />
cases concerning product liability are usually based on contractual<br />
liability for defective products according to the Civil Code and the<br />
Commercial Code.<br />

Tomáš Kamenec joined DEDÁK & Partners in 2002 when he<br />
became a Partner. Tomáš graduated from the Law Faculty of the<br />
Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic and the<br />
University of London, United Kingdom. Within DEDÁK & Partners,<br />
Tomáš and his team are responsible for commercial and contract<br />
law, competition and consumer protection, public law and<br />
environmental law legislative, litigation and arbitration. Tomáš has<br />
extensive experience in advising on marketing and advertising<br />
issues, corporate and property acquisitions. This includes advising<br />
clients on identifying potential liabilities, drafting and negotiating<br />
complex indemnities. He also prepared legal audits in respect of<br />
compliance with product safety requirements, product liability and<br />
market harmonisation regulations and assisted in resolving the<br />
related issues. Tomáš has been a leading attorney in some of the<br />
Slovak Republic’s largest transactions. Tomáš is a member of the<br />
Slovak Bar Association. Tomáš has published numerous articles in<br />
legal periodicals. He is fluent in Slovak, German and English.<br />

Miroslava Budinská joined DEDÁK & Partners in 2008 and she is a<br />
Junior Associate. Miroslava graduated from the Law Faculty of the<br />
Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. At DEDÁK &<br />
Partners, Miroslava primarily deals with corporate law and<br />

conformity assessment and consumer protection. Miroslava is a<br />
