Travelholic
Azura Zainal
Malaysia’s favourite host, Azura Zainal, has been
in the entertainment industry for 17 years. A veteran
in the hosting world, she has an amazing career
record. Azura was once a TV Presenter for Disney
Buzz and a Radio Announcer cum Producer on
Redfm Malaysia. She is now a Travel/Adventure/
Sports host with her current show called X-plorasi
which airs on every Saturday at 2pm on TV1. On
top of that, Azura is also a professional emcee and
author of a book called Azura Zainal’s Guide to TV
& Radio Hosting. Work aside, this fun and bubbly
presenter loves being active and has an unquenchable
thirst for travel. Let us hear more about this awesome
host’s travel experiences.
How frequently do you hop on a
plane and where in the world
have you travelled?
Azura Zainal: Ever since I started being a Radio Announcer (and
also due to the nature of my job), I don’t fly as much because my
radio show requires me to be here every day (except Saturdays
& Sundays). I cannot take off for long, so I can only go travel
whenever my travel shows require me to. For my show X-plorasi,
I did mountain climbing, river rafting, scuba diving and the 4x4
with the team around Malaysia.
I just travel around Asia and South East Asia for now as there is
just so much to see, given its diversified culture, people and history.
For holidays, I would at least hop on a plane twice a year.
The furthest I have travelled was to Brazil because
that is where my husband is from. And yes, that
is another continent that I am so eager and excited
to explore! The Mayans, Machu-Pichu, The
Amazon; the list just goes on and on!
