“
I did not have
access to
education which
is a human right
and I want to
work on raising
awareness
and positively
impacting others
who do not
have access
globally.
“
Meet Annabelle Saba
A-Level student & aspiring human rights
lawyer now studying at Queen Mary’s
University of London
Winner of the Outstanding Individual Award at Adult
Learners’ Week.
On winning the Outstanding Individual Award, Annabelle
said: “I have always had an interest in human rights due
to a chaotic childhood where I was denied access to
education from the ages of 9 – 18. The college offered
me the chance to take my A-Levels in Government &
Politics and History and ultimately led me to receive an
unconditional offer from a Russell group university. Being
an aspiring human rights lawyer I have been proactive in
getting more knowledge into the values of education and
how I can make a difference which lead me to winning the
Outstanding Individual Award at Adults Learners’ Week.
Winning the award felt great and now I have been educated
I feel I can climb up an invisible ladder. I did not have
access to education which is a human right and I want
to work on raising awareness and positively impacting
others who do not have access globally. Highlighting this
to those who need it most is something I feel passionately
about. You can come from nothing but you can achieve
everything.”
