Local Area Forums:-<br />

The next <strong>Milnrow</strong>, <strong>Newhey</strong> & Firgrove Local Area Forum will be held<br />

on Thursday 24th <strong>March</strong> <strong>2016</strong><br />

from 7.00pm at <strong>Milnrow</strong> Cricket Club, Harbour Lane, <strong>Milnrow</strong>.<br />

If you have any issues or concerns please come along to air your<br />

views. You can help to make a difference in your community.<br />

Please note that dates and times of these meetings are subject to<br />

change so please do not hesitate to contact your Local Townships<br />

and Engagement Officer, Tracey Knight, for Pennines on 01706<br />

922227, who will be able to confirm dates and times of all future<br />

Local Area Forums.<br />

Guided Walks & Tours<br />

The Syke Walk and Talk Group meet every Monday at 1.00 pm<br />

and Friday 10.00am at Syke Methodist Chapel where there will be<br />

toilet facilities and hot drinks and socialising after the walks. There<br />

are 2 levels on the walk on Monday, a high quick walk and a slower<br />

one. There are also three levels on a Friday. A high fast walk, an<br />

intermediate walk and a slower one if needed. So there is something<br />

to suit everyone and all abilities.<br />

Springhill Hospice Events<br />

Sunday 13th <strong>March</strong> – Spring Fair<br />

Enjoy a great day at the <strong>2016</strong> Spring Fair. Over 30 stalls including<br />

gifts, homebake, crafts, raffles and tombolas, there is something for<br />

everyone. Free entry, 10am - 3pm at Springhill Hospice<br />

24th April – Hospice To Hospice Walk<br />

A fun and friendly 7 ¼ Mile Circular family walk<br />

27th April – Women of Rochdale<br />

Watch as the Women of Rochdale <strong>2016</strong> is crowned while helping<br />

her celebrate with a four course meal and beer reception from 1pm<br />

Rochdale Antique Society<br />

Rochdale Antiques Society meets at St Vincent's Hall, Caldershaw<br />

Road, Norden, OL12 7QL at 7.30pm on 2nd Wednesday in the<br />

month from September to May. Membership is £25 for the season,<br />

guests £4 per visit. Always an excellent expert speaker. The next<br />

meetings coming up are:-<br />

9th <strong>March</strong> - Susan Romfitt (Antiques Roadshow) on' Pearls'<br />

13th April - Tony Lonton on 'Old Sheffield Plate'<br />

11th May - AGM followed by John Wyles on 'William Morris, a man<br />

of many talents'.<br />

Pottery - Classes, Parties and Groups - Norden Primary School<br />

with Lissah Hall. Evening Classes 7-9pm Mondays, Tuesdays and<br />

Thursdays £12 per session. Saturdays 12-4.30 available for Classes,<br />

Parties and Groups. Have fun, create and relax. All ages, levels and<br />

Advice Bureau<br />

Advice Bureau for Councillors Allen Brett and Neil Butterworth is on<br />

the second Saturday of every month at Butterworth Hall from 10am<br />

to 11am. The next Advice Bureau is on Saturday 12th <strong>March</strong> from<br />

10am to 11am at Butterworth Hall. Duncan Hannant, Labour’s<br />

candidate in May will also be present to learn the ropes and bring a<br />

different perspective to the table. No appointment necessary and all<br />

Rochdale Inner Wheel Club – 4th Wednesday each Month<br />

Rochdale Inner Wheel Club is a women's group meeting on 4th<br />

Wednesday of each month at 7pm.They have regular speakers and<br />

also raise funds for local, national and international charities.<br />
